Kitchen Remodeling
The kitchen is the room a remodel is judged on. We plan the layout around how you actually cook and gather, then build it with cabinetry and finish work that still looks right in fifteen years.
A good kitchen remodel is mostly decided before demolition. Where the sink and range want to be, whether a wall can come out and what it costs if it is carrying load, how much of the plumbing and electrical has to move, and where the money is best spent. We work that out with you first, on paper, with prices attached.
Then we build it. Demolition, any structural change, plumbing and electrical rough-in, drywall, cabinets set level and true, counters templated and installed, tile, trim, paint, and appliances in place. We keep the run of the house livable while we work, because you still have to eat.
We are candid about materials. There are places where spending more is worth it and places where it is not, and we will tell you which is which rather than quietly upselling the whole package.
Questions we get asked
How long will my kitchen be out of use?
For a typical full remodel, plan on four to seven weeks of no kitchen. We give you a real schedule up front and tell you as soon as anything moves.
Can that wall come out?
Usually yes — the question is what it costs. If it is load bearing we price the beam and the posts honestly rather than discovering it halfway through.
